The main points
Straighten Before Pulling0:56

Even Before You Pull

Never just start pulling on angled or uneven curtains. First make them even, parallel, open, and straight, then pull. This goes for all curtains.

Heavy Blinds: Push Up1:08

Heavy Blinds

The higher a heavy blind goes, the more force it needs and the more pressure on the blinds supports. As you pull the cord down, push the blind up with your other hand.

Untwisting Messy Curtains1:18

Twisted Curtains

Twisted curtains? Snap them back into place carefully then open them.

Hide Broken-Window Tape1:05

Broken Windows

Broken window behind the blinds? Angle the blinds up. Light still comes in, the lighting looks natural, and the tape and cracks up top disappear. Angling down shows the tape and kills the light.

Cord Management Judgment0:40

Dangling Cords

If a dangling cord hangs almost perfectly straight, leave it. If it's ugly and lying everywhere, organize it neatly. Do whatever looks more visually appealing.
