Virtual twilights come out darker and try to even out harsh light and shadows which can be great for shots taken under direct sunlight. but doesnt look good when the sun is already down or being covered by clouds. This is where Real twilight edits come in. Real twilight focuses more on making things pop instead of trying to even things out. As a result colors can appear nicer and there will likely be less hallucinations in the images.
Real twilight and Virtual Twilight look different, and the real Twilight edit comes out a lot better. So its important we choose the correct editing style

How to know when to edit using Virtual twilight: If the photos were taken mid day on a sunny day you’ll see the sun blasting the home, creating harsh bright areas and dark shadows. When this happens the photo needs a Virtual Twilight edit, so the sky and the light get rebuilt.

How to know when to edit using real twilight: Look at the whole exterior. The shadows are the same everywhere: front wall, roof line, driveway, lawn. No harsh bright spots from the sun or harsh shadows. That happens two ways, a cloudy / rainy dark day or a photo taken at twilight after the sun dropped. Either way it gets the real Twilight edit.
Now the test. Ill show you 2 photos and they’ll be labeled as either twilight or virtual twilight. I think the confusing thing might be that for both styles the sky will be bright blue which can be confusing. so I need you to focus on the the ground and wall surfaces. Do they have even lighting? then its a real twilight. Does it have harsh bright spots and shadows? then its a virtual twilight. Inspect both images then click next. Once you click next then itll be your turn to label things either virtual twilight or real twilight. If you mess up on any of your answers the system will let you know. The photos are drawn fresh every time, so take it again whenever you want.
