The floor-plan walk doubles as your prep pass — everything you fix now is something nobody has to Photoshop later.

Fix the house while you're prepping it

Check every light in the house — Look for the switch, see whether the fixture is connected, confirm the bulb is fully screwed in.v9039
Twist-dimmable bulbs brighten as you turn — The more you turn them the brighter they get — don't mistake one for a dead bulb.v9039
Leave a flickering bulb on for stills — Photo shutter speeds are high enough that the flicker never shows up.v9039
Don't hunt a replacement for a dying bulb — Too much work. Shoot as is; we can light it artificially in post if anyone complains.v9039
Stand backyard cushions and mats back up — Wind knocks them over, clients notice, and then it becomes a Photoshop ticket.v9039
