• Hold the phone straight up, 90 degrees — Vertical is the default for the entire scan, not something you drift out of.v2900

• Keep the baseboards in frame — As long as you can see the baseboards, you're fine.v711
• Angle down briefly in tight spots — Tip it down to catch floor and counters, then bring it straight back to vertical.v587

• One exception: a blurred-out high area — In a bathroom you can pop it up a bit to catch the roofline, then walk away.v2900
• In bathrooms, stop and confirm the floor — He pauses to make sure the scan got the entire bathroom floor before moving on.v2900
